Gloves, Heavy-Duty Shovels & Mattocks: For leveling ground, digging trenches, and stabilizing the foundational tire layer.
Level & Measuring Tape: To ensure the 4-tire-high perimeter wall stays even and structurally sound.
Utility Knives / Sawzall: Useful for cutting tires if modifying shapes for corners or drainage/planting pockets.
Soil & Compost Sifters: For filling the lower tires and planting cavities with rich growing medium for the fruit orchard.
Heavy-Duty Fencing Pliers & Wire Cutters: For securing and tensioning the 7-foot-high wire mesh around the perimeter.
Post Hole Diggers & T-Posts (or Framing Lumber): To anchor the upper 7-foot mesh barrier securely above the tire wall.
Wheelbarrows: For transporting soil, gravel, and mulch efficiently across the quarter-acre plot.
Site Preparation: Clear and level the quarter-acre perimeter, mapping out the layout for the fruit trees and livestock enclosure.
Foundation Laying: Position the largest tires on the bottom row, sinking them slightly into leveled ground and packing them with compacted soil or gravel for stability.
Wall Construction: Stack the remaining tires up to 4 tiers high, staggering the joints like bricks and filling planting cavities with nutrient-dense soil.
Tree & Periphery Integration: Clear and trim side trees along the perimeter to ensure complete security from outside climbers.
Orchard Planting: Plant your selected fruit trees directly into the designated cavities and internal zones within the tire wall ecosystem.
Mesh Barrier Installation: Erect the 7-foot-high protective mesh around the top of the entire perimeter wall and secure it tightly.
System Testing & Stocking: Inspect the entire enclosure for safety, security, and proper drainage before introducing your colony.
Using tires we are building a 4 tire high prerimeter wall around the orchard
